How is the current market?

Many clubs have taken advantage of 2024’s lower wholesale energy prices. The below graph shows how electricity has fallen since Nov 22. 

This has meant that many tennis clubs are in a much better position than this time last year with regards to their energy bills.

However, the market is on the up, with prices having fluctuated but generally increased since the lows in February 2024.

With the cold winter months expected to push prices higher, we recommend securing your club’s new deal as soon as possible.

Does your energy contract come to an end in the next 6 months?

Future market outlook:

With winter fast approaching and the unrest in the Middle East the market has seen a lot of fluctuation in recent months. 

Below is a market curve of future price predictions over the coming years, however we are paying close attention to the next 12 months, hitting it’s peak in Q1 of 2025 (see graph below), we are keen to look at energy contracts ending in the next 6 months to ensure that clubs can mitigate against these rises. Leaving the renewal till Q1 of next year could cause the club unnecessary increases.

How do I reduce my consumption?

The winter months see tennis club’s energy consumption rise. Heating the clubhouse and the need for more lighting on dark nights and floodlight tennis courts, it is imperative that efficiency is optimised.
